about

First of two tracks originally created for an online frame drummers group compilation double CD. “Rumi’s Tambourine” and “Kanjo” were originally created for an online frame drummer group compilation double CD, which I also did the artwork for, now out of print.

lyrics

Texts are excerpts from The Mathnavi, the spontaneous spiritual poetry of Jalaladdin Rumi, trans. by John Moyne and Coleman Barks. Rum used the analogy of music often to express Divine Love, as in these poems.
